Prioritisation of Conference Motions

Thanks to Derek for starting the discussion on Conference motions. There will be a number of motions that could be amended - strengthening the one on the economy might be a good idea too.

HOWEVER, before then we also have to concentrate on PRIORITISATION (deadline end of January). All of the four motions put forward by Classroom Teacher have made it on to the agenda paper - and with as much backing as many of the other motions .

These are:
Motion 6 Workload, Pay and Class Sizes - A Comprehensive Strategy
Motion 19 Political Fund
Motion 34 Democracy in Schools
Motion 69 Affiliation to the NSSN

With six motions to be prioritised by each Association, I think we should push to prioritise all four wherever we can - although I think Motion 6 and 19 are of particular importance and we may have to concentrate on pushing just one or two motions in some areas.

The motions only appear to be in the typed booklet at present - not online - but, if you have a copy, do share views on a list of six that we might recommend overall.
